Q.   What is Bohire?
Bohire is Canada’s Job Referral Community™.  We believe that Bohire will become your recruiting tool of choice because there is absolutely no risk. 
Here’s what it costs:
- Post your job openings for FREE.
- Choose the fee you want to pay.
- Bohire does not accept payment until you make a hire.

Q.   What does it mean to be an Employer?
Employers save time and money, and recruit quality employees for their jobs. Despite paying significantly less money than other traditional recruiting sources, Bohire satisfies Employers by providing quality candidates for these positions. Employers can post jobs for FREE and have the ability to select a payment as low as 1% of first year salary.
 
Q.   What is a Cash Referral Reward?
The Cash Referral Reward is the amount of money the Employer pays the Referrer for finding the right candidate for their job posting. The Employer sets the amount of the Referral Reward. The Employer only pays AFTER a successful hire has been made.
 
Q.   How much should I offer as a Reward?
The Referral Reward is set by the Employer. For Full Time positions the Employer can select a fee from 1 to 30% of first year salary. If the position is Part Time or Temporary, the employer can set a flat rate Referral Reward.
When choosing your Cash Referral Reward, consider these factors:
Is your Referral Reward competitive?
Is your Referral Reward significant enough to motivate the Referrers to refer quality candidates? We recommend a fee between 5 to 8% of first year salary.
Is this a hard-to-fill position, do you need someone urgently, are you recruiting in a competitive environment? If so, consider raising the Referral Reward to motivate more people to refer quality candidates to your position.
 
 
Q.   How do I attract quality candidates to my job openings?
Be thorough yet concise in writing job and company descriptions. The better the Referrer community understands your needs, the more likely they are to provide great candidates that match your job requirements.
 
Q.   When is payment due?
The fee the Employer pays for each successful hire is payable to Bohire Inc. and is due upon receipt. Employer’s only pay for successful hires!
 
Q.   What is your privacy policy?
Bohire is committed to maintaining the highest privacy standards. Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and as a result, we do not disclose it to others. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.
 
Q.   Why does Bohire use a Top Dawg Referral Rating System™?
Bohire’s Top Dawg Referrer Rating System was created to ensure the Bohire community is made up of highly qualified Referrers. Employers are given the ability to rate every Referrer on their ability to refer quality candidates. We know that recruiting quality employees is a time consuming and costly process and knowing the quality of the source is the first step to finding your next great employee. Referrers are rated on a scale of one to five with five being the highest rating.
 
Q.   How do I rate a Referrer?
Rating a Referrer is extremely easy and only takes a few seconds. A Referrer should be rated on the quality of the candidate that he/she submits to your job posting. If the candidate was a great match for the job, the Referrer should be rewarded with a great rating. Conversely, if the candidate was not at all suitable for the position the Referrer should receive a low rating. Your decision to hire/not hire the candidate should not have any bearing on the rating, what is important is the candidate’s suitability for the position.
 
Q.   Why is it important to rate Referrers?
It is extremely important to rate every Referrer and to rate them fairly and truthfully. A fair and accurate rating will be very useful to yourself and your fellow members and as ratings accumulate it will serve as an invaluable tool in the selection process. Great referrers will refer great candidates and our Top Dawg Referral Rating System™ will allow you to distinguish the great Referrers from the poor ones.
 
Q.   How do I change my Referral Reward?
You have the ability to increase your Cash Referral Reward at any time. Doing so can increase the quality and quantity of candidates who are referred. To increase your Referral Reward go to My Jobs and select the job posting you wish to change. Select a higher reward and select recalculate. Please make sure you select recalculate your reward Recalculatebefore you submit your change. You do not have the ability to decrease your reward once your job has been posted.
 
Q.   Who can access my job postings?
There are no restrictions regarding who can access your job posting.
 
Q.   How do I know when a candidate is submitted to my job posting?
There are two methods to choose from. In the My Jobs section, select the desired job posting. Select the View Applicants link and you will see all of the candidates that have been referred to your posting. You can also subscribe to our email alert service and each time a candidate is referred to your posting a notification will be sent to your email. You can subscribe to this service by selecting the “would you like to receive an email notice if a candidate for this job is submitted” when you are creating the job posting.
 
Q.   What is a hot post?
A Hot Post is an area of the home page that highlights high profile, available jobs. To advertise your job as a Hot Post please contact our sales department at 416-694-4473 or email sales@bohire.com.
 
Q.   How do I delete my account?
You have the ability to delete your account at any time.  This function is available in the Edit My Profile section.  You can also send an email to deleteemployer@bohire.com and our administrator will remove your account.  Your account will not be removed until all of your open postings are closed. 
 
Q.   I like your service and want to tell other Employers?
We think this is a great service that will benefit many Employers and if you like the service please feel free to tell as many people as you like.  Please use the Refer an Employer feature to do so.  We will be establishing a testimonials page in the future and if you wish to participate please submit your testimonial to testimonial@bohire.com
 
Q.   I want to learn how to use your site?
The referral recruiting concept is extremely simple in theory but becomes more complex when you take this concept to the web.  To maintain the integrity and power of the referral we’ve incorporated some complimentary tools and processes.  To take full advantage of the features the Bohire website has to offer, we encourage you to review the contents of the Info buttons Info located on the My Bohire main page. 
 
Q.   Do Employers speak with Referrers during the interview process?
Employers who are interested in candidates can contact them directly.  Employers do not speak with Referrers. All interviews and action steps are documented by the Employer through the status bar. The status bar is the only communication medium that links the Employers with the Referrers so it is extremely important to update the status bar regularly.
 
Q.   I am an Employer member but I also know great people.  Can I join as a Referrer?
If you know great people then you should absolutely join as a Referrer.  When you join as a Referrer you will need to use a different email than the one you used to join as an Employer.  Once you have activated your Referrer account you can begin referring great people and earning Cash Referral Rewards.  
 
Q.   I do not want the emails I receive from Bohire to go into my junk or spam folder
Your email program is not recognizing that the emails you receive from Bohire are from a known source.  Mark the next email you receive from Bohire as safe, not junk or not spam and subsequent Bohire emails should go directly to your inbox.
 
Q.   I have not received my Bohire acknowledgement or activation email?
Firstly, please check your spam/junk folder. If you did not receive an email from Bohire, it means your company's email filters have blocked Bohire emails. Please ask your IT department to add admin@bohire.com to your company's whitelist. 
 
Q.   The site is slow, how do I let Bohire know?
The Bohire team wants your experience to be a positive one and we realize that the speed of our website is extremely important.  The speed of every website is largely determined by the number of people who are using the website at the same time and as a result there will be peak usage times.  If you are experiencing issues with speed please email customerservice@bohire.com.  Please describe when you were on our site (date and time) and what you were doing.  We will do our best to remedy this situation.
