We are looking for a Licensing A & R Manager to support our business. This position will be responsible for: Repertoire Assist Brand Managers in product development by delivering repertoire recommendations for licensed compilations and consumer research as well as sourcing and securing new licensors. Licensing Project Management, including master sourcing/evaluation; contract negotiation in consultation with in-house counsel and including: execution, tracking, renewals and liaison with brand managers Administration Copying and distribution of contract hard copies, procuring advance payments, mailing and dealing with licensing inquiries, communication with all licensors and pertinent members of the Marketing group, organizing and maintaining Somerset’s physical and digital music libraries. Construction, maintenance, and querying of various databases. The successful candidate will be a creative, detail and solution-oriented individual with a solid knowledge of a wide variety of musical genres. Outstanding organizational and project management skills are essential. As well, highly refined interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships are essential. The ideal candidate will possess experience with contracts and licenses and have basic database/spreadsheet experience. We are looking for 2 to 3 years of relevant music business experience.
